About:

The Yearbook (called the Ranger Log) is a product created by the Traip Academy class Publications. Much of our time is spent on the yearlong task to create the school yearbook! There are four different departments; the Creation department, the Photography department, the Media department, and the Business department. In order to create a high quality finished product, we need all of these departments to work collectively with one another and put all of their hard work into this task.

Yearbook Department:

This group of people use all of their time to create the actual pages that're printed into the yearbook (which is powered by Jostens, the company who we send all of our pages off to). The creation team bounces ideas off of each other to create effective layouts. Each page is assigned to one person and that is their responsibility to complete before a given deadline. There are editors in this group who finalize every page and make them fit into the completed book.

Photography Department:

This group is responsible for taking all of the amazing student life pictures that are incorporated into our yearbook. They are also responsible for uploading those pictures into Jostens so that the creation team can use them in the yearbook.

Media Department:

The Media Department creates the Podcasts, Short Films, Ads, and more to help support and compliment the Yearbook! They also maintain the website.

Business Department:

This group is designated to raising funds in order to pay for the creation of our yearbook. In order to lower production costs, we sell ads to local businesses and sponsors. The business team spends all of their time getting into contact with returning ad buyers and new businesses who may be interested in buying ad space. These local partners reserve a space in the last 6-8 pages of the yearbook. This forms a lasting partnership and builds awareness of businesses in our community.
